The right light changes everything: Equipment for a bright home

Lighting is one of the most important aspects of interior design, directly influencing the atmosphere, mood, and functionality of each room. Whether you need strong, clear light for your office or a warm, relaxing atmosphere in the living room, choosing the right light bulb makes all the difference. At Global Store, we offer a complete range of lighting solutions designed to combine energy efficiency with modern design.

Discover our rigorous selection featuring the latest technologies: LED bulbs (which consume up to 80% less electricity and have an extended lifespan), decorative filament bulbs (Edison style, perfect for vintage chandeliers), and spotlights for directional accents. We carry all standard socket types (E27, E14, GU10) and various color temperatures (warm, neutral, cool). Buy the bulbs you need for your home online and enjoy fast delivery anywhere in Moldova.

How to choose the right bulb for each room?

Color temperature (measured in Kelvin degrees - K) is the most important factor when choosing a bulb, as it sets the "tone" of the room. For the bedroom and living room, we recommend warm light (2700K - 3000K). This emits a relaxing yellowish hue, similar to sunset or firelight, helping the body prepare for sleep.

For the kitchen, bathroom, and work areas (office), where you need clear visibility of details and accurate color rendering, neutral light (4000K) or cool light (over 5000K) is the perfect choice. Also, pay attention to the number of Lumens (lm) printed on the box, not the Watts (W). Lumens measure the actual light intensity, while Watts represent only energy consumption. A 10W LED bulb can provide the same brightness (e.g. 800 lm) as an old 60W incandescent bulb.

Color Temperature Light Characteristic Recommended Rooms
Warm Light (2700K-3000K) Yellowish hue, relaxing, cozy Bedroom, living room, hallways, nightstands.
Neutral Light (4000K) Crisp white, doesn't strain the eyes Kitchen, bathroom, makeup area, office.
Cool Light (6000K+) Bluish-white, very high intensity Garage, workshop, retail spaces, displays.

Frequently Asked Questions about Bulbs and Lighting

What is the difference between E27 and E14 sockets?

The E27 socket (the part that screws into the lamp) is the standard socket, often called the "thick base", with a diameter of 27 mm. It is used in most main lighting fixtures in the house. The E14 socket, known as the "thin base" (or candelabra), has a 14 mm diameter and is typically used in desk lamps, small bedside lamps, range hoods, or delicately designed chandeliers.

Why does the LED bulb flicker (flash) when turned off?

Flickering LED bulbs are usually caused by light switches that have an indicator light (the red LED in the button). Even when the switch is off, a tiny amount of current passes through the circuit to power that indicator, which is enough to make the LED bulb flash. The solution is to replace the switch with a plain one or install a capacitor on the circuit.

What does a "Dimmable" bulb mean?

A dimmable bulb allows you to adjust the level of light emitted. You can decrease or increase the brightness using a special rotary switch (dimmer). Warning: not all LED bulbs are dimmable! If you install a standard (non-dimmable) LED bulb on a dimmer circuit, it will start buzzing, flickering, or burn out quickly. Always check the box for the \"Dimmable\" symbol.
